MIKE Relm Show/Hide Bio
San Francisco's MIKE RELM is best known for his audio and video mash-ups, in his live concerts and broadcast work. Part DJ, part director, part music producer, Relm has introduced the world to a style that truly echoes the fever-pitched pace of modern entertainment while paying homage to classic filmmakers and musicians.
Being at the forefront of audio/video mash-ups made Mike Relm an obvious choice to be a part of 2008's YouTube Live concert which featured Katy Perry, Obama Girl, Smosh, Will.I.Am, Michael Buckley, iJustine, The LXD, and Akon. The event was live streamed and broke the record for concurrent viewers; a record previously held by the 2008 Summer Olympics. Mike Relm created a mash-up using material from three films released by Lionsgate, for the first of many official trailer mash-ups they would team up for. His Spirit/Punisher/Transporter 3 trailer would earn him a 2009 Webby Award for best remix/mash-up. He was also brought on to be the Webby Awards' sole performing act and presented Seth MacFarlane's 5-word acceptance speech. In attendance was fine living icon Martha Stewart, who immediately hired Mike Relm to create the opening credits for season 2 of "Whatever, Martha!".

BCDC Show/Hide Bio
Unlike many tribute acts claiming to be "North America's #1 Clone" or "Just Like the Real Thing", BC/DC has turned the tables. The band takes a comedic approach, claiming the tunes as their own, and to having "heard of some BC/DC tribute band from Australia". They rarely give factual interviews to big city press. Adding to the schtick, the band members all go by comic aliases - lead singer Brendan Raftery's Brian "Bon" Johnscottson paying respects to both AC/DC's famous frontmen. It's working. It's the gift that keeps on giving.
BC/DC’s live show has become a legendary, and necessary “rite-of-passage” amongst their unwavering supporters and believers. With over-the-top stage energy, they deliver every last note of all the classic songs with absolute authority. You get tired just watching them. BC/DC is heavily rooted in the Bon Scott-era catalog (Dirty Deeds, TNT, Jailbreak, Let There Be Rock), but also covers AC/DC’s second “golden era” with all the essentials; Back in Black, For Those About to Rock, Hells Bells, and many more. Hey, there’s always another AC/DC tune… and BC/DC always seems more than eager to blast it out.

Robb G Show/Hide Bio
Robb G is literally “in” the music when he’s on stage, dripping with sweat as he screams at the crowd, possessed by the music while he throbs in a head banging body thrash. After seeing him live, there is no questioning that Robb G is a man who truly loves what he does. Known for his speedy beatmatching and continuously layered mixing, he’s performed in Europe and from coast to coast in North America, appearing in over 40 cities on his native continent.
Robb G has had releases and remixes on over a dozen labels in the last decade. Remixing DJ Dan, Will Bailey, Hatiras and many more along the way. His 12 Inch Therapy single received tremendous acclaim, making its way to the top of URB, iDJ, and Mixmag’s Best Of 2008 lists. It hit the number 12 spot on the UK buzz charts and became the number 1 most requested song on Sirius Radio’s Boombox Channel for the entire year. It is no surprise that the Plump DJs named him alongside Justice and Switch when asked who the most exciting producers are.
With his current releases being played by a cast as wide as Carl Cox to Kissy Sell Out, a second full-length album already in the works and a 2010 touring schedule that’s taking him to the far 4 corners of North America and abroad, Robb G stock is on the rise. ROBB G - FULL STOP by ROBB G

JELO Show/Hide Bio
Jelo’s sound could be referred to as a wild mixture of the following: banging house, electro, electro house and techno. Incorporating the spiciest elements of house, techno, breaks and rock blended with wild mixing abilities gives this DJ the distinction of all-around artist, entertainer, and performer.
His straightforward ‘take the bull by the horns’ approach towards music and performing has kept Jelo amongst the top echelons of DJs in Canada. He was the first DJ in the Toronto clubs to usher in Speed Garage, Hard House, Nu Skool sounds and never sticking to one genre. JELO - 'Darke' by JELO

B.Traits Show/Hide Bio
To simply mix two records can easily be accomplished by almost anyone, but to put the dance floor into a hypnotic state of movement and emotional backlash is an art form all to itself. This art form has not only been admired, but closely studied and refined by Vancouver’s youngest female DnB DJ, B.Traits.
At the age of only 22, she has performed alongside some of the worlds finest artists from all over North America, to the streets of Eastern Europe. After teaming up with with MC Kay in 2005, the duo formed LTC (Ladies Take Control). LTC preformed as a part of the Formation Records camp and the World of Drum & Bass Tour all throughout 2006 and 2007. In September of 2007, B.Traits was recruited by the Digital SoundBoy himself, Shy FX, making her the first Digital Sound Girl in the DSB crew. B.Traits - Belle of the Brawl by B.Traits

Kyprios Show/Hide Bio
The classic definition of the term MC is one that has the ability to grip a mic and control the crowd, and Kyprios has more than earned this title. He is a commanding presence on stage – able to hold the crowd in silent rapture as he drops an introspective piece that draws heavily from spoken word, only to suddenly flip it and incite a sea of thrusting hands with a rapid fire set of punchline-laden lyrical flows. Able to deliver a seamless blend of rapping, singing and harmonizing, The Vancouver, BC native’s larynx is a potent stash of varied lyrical weapons.

Vinyl Ritchie Show/Hide Bio
The man who defined breakbeat in all its many formats in Vancouver and a guy who has spent more years DJing than most kids today have had hot breakfasts. All the way back to 1991, from his Zoo Boogaloo night at the Starfish Room, Cherry Bombs at Sonar during the latter half of the 1990s (both with DJ Czech) to the Big Sexy Funk night at Shine today. Scott’s been spinning records trying to find that combination of different sounds that all revolve around one word: funk. See his website: www.vinylritchie.com.
Said the Whale Show/Hide Bio
Said The Whale formed in 2007 as a collaboration between songwriters Ben Worcester and Tyler Bancroft. The pair's debut EP, Taking Abalonia, featured sunny west coast indie pop, with breezy harmonies, shimmering guitars, and lyrical tributes to their home city of Vancouver. In 2008, the album was rereleased as Howe Sounds/Talking Abalonia, featuring seven additional tracks that stretched the band's stylistic palate to include bubblegum folk ("The Light Is You"), thundering hard rock ("Last Tree Standing") and gentle ukulele ballads ("The Real of It").
The group is now poised to take the next step with the release of its latest single, "Camilo (The Magician)." With its gritty powerchords and sunny powerpop chorus, the single has already been dubbed the "song of the summer" by Grant Lawrence of CBC Radio 3. Produced by Howard Redekopp (Tegan and Sara, The New Pornographers, Mother Mother) and Tom Dobrzanski (Hey Ocean!, The Zolas), it will appear on the group's sophomore album, Islands Disappear, due for release on October 13 via Upper Management/EMI. 07 - Said The Whale - Black Day in December by pocketvan

Hannah Georgas Show/Hide Bio
Vancouver singer-songwriter Hannah Georgas is the new love of your life – and she won’t break your heart. Her voice, bittersweet yet as spunky as an indie film heroine, will make you swoon as she sings about love, language and awkward situations.
Her early supporters include Said The Whale – she’ll appear on their upcoming album - and singer-songwriter Jeremy Fisher. (His wife actually deserves the credit for introducing him to Hannah and helping her land a manager.) She recently sang for the prime minister (and thousands) of others on Parliament Hill and she co-wrote a TV jingle, which she’s now turning into a full-length song – thanks to hundreds of requests from new followers. Starbucks is also a convert and licensed The Beat Stuff to play in its stores across North America. With the full-length album out next year, and a fall tour across Canada with fellow Vancouver based artists Said The Whale, she’s well on her way to convert the rest of Canada into true Hannah Georgas fans! Mishka Show/Hide Bio
Mishka’s biography has an almost cinematic sweep. He spent most of his early life on a boat in the Caribbean, sailing from island to island with his seafaring parents and older sisters. A child of the islands, it was almost inevitable that he’d be drawn to reggae, Rastafari, and the natural mystic that inhabits his music and his soul. Talk About is his fourth album and the second release for Matthew McConaughey’s j. k. livin label.

illScarlett is like the Voltron of rock bands - go pop-punk, go ska, go reggae, go modern rock - clickity clik and clankety clank and it comes together in the form of a giant-killer-robot-like debut release "All Day With It". Therein, you'll find radio-approved rockers like the lead single "Nothing Special", up-stroked reggae-pop with soaring choruses like "Life Of A Soldier" and beach-worthy chill-outs like "Paradise Burning". You'll wanna listen to the whole record though - it's perfect summer listening.

Tito Deville Band Show/Hide Bio
It would be easy to misjudge Vancouver’s Tito Deville Band. For someone going solely on their sound and their image, one may think the band is steeped in glamour 24 hours a day, 7 days a week and drenched in spotlights while drinking champagne in the back of limousines between sold-out gigs. But strip away the glitz and sit down with the quartet in their humble East Vancouver rehearsal space, and one quickly begins to see that behind it all, they’re like any other hard-working musicians making a go at the art they’ve put their hearts and souls into for the last 24 months, if not most of their young lives.
A blend of big-bottom dance-club beats provided by turntablist DJ Kenya and drummer Adam Zulkifli, with electro inspired rock riffs churned out by Will Ripley all setting the ground work for Tito’s hip-hop and R&B style vocals, surely sets them apart from any other act on the city’s and the world’s vast musical landscape. It straddles an odd fence between Electro, Rock, Pop and Hip-Hop, which has seen them drop jaws of audiences in dance clubs and rock and roll bars alike. TITO DEVILLE BAND MIXTAPE by DJKENYA

Shane Philip Show/Hide Bio
Swelling in primordial pulses and wholloping whoops, the tacit tones of Shane Philip's didgeridoo hold the power to still listeners into silence or encourage audiences to rise up in a tribal swell of intoxicating spirit -- with sometimes but a heartbeat in between. Meanwhile his hands will be skilfully juggling between shaking up rhythms with his aslatua, driving the dance floor with his djembe and sliding out grooves on his Weissenborn-style guitar while his foot taps in earthshaking electronic kicks wherever they might fit. He is a one-man show weaving sounds that inspire audiences anywhere he goes.

DJ Parker Show/Hide Bio
Now famed for his worldwide smash Where's my Monkey? Parker is a star producer on the rise! His debut album To Eternity dropped in 2008 to critical acclaim, with its blend of dance floor funk and epic soul winning him fans from DJ Yoda to Massive Attack, and airtime from Radio 1 to Kiss FM. After the success of the album the Bristol legend has been beavering away on his staggeringly hype bootlegs and beats workouts for Goodgroove Records, making anything baring the Parker logo a surefire banger with DJs the world over. Live he cuts up dub step, breaks, hip hop, drum and bass and any other damn thing that has ever been put on vinyl, with the kind of superior turntable technique that puts most other DJ's in the shade. His selector skills take him seamlessly through every genre designed to make you shake a tailfeather, and sometimes at the pace of one a minute...with an accapella or scratch over the top for good measure. These untouchable talents on the decks have seen Parker compared to heavyweight record crate jugglers like the mighty Z-Trip.

Tiffany Crowe Show/Hide Bio
Some of my favorite artists that I draw inspiration form would be Janice Joplin, Bonnie Rait, Joshua Radin, Beth Hart and many more that drive me to stay unique and true to my own style. As a Vancouver native, I also love to go to the beach and play my guitar and just see what comes out of it. I have been playing for 2 years now and have gotten into playing live over the last year. Singing has always been a big part of my life as my father is a professional piano player and singer. I love going to open mics or live shows to support upcoming local talent and I can always learn something from them. Music is my way of getting all of the jumbled thoughts in my head into an organized song that makes sense. Often times the structure of the song brings about an answer to my thoughts that I did not foresee. Currently, I’m working on writing a full album and hope to have it completed by the fall.

This led him to persue his passion for dance music with DJ and producers such as Hype, Kenny Ken, Marcus Visionary, LTJ Bukem, CRAZE and Freaky Flow serving as early influences.
Phroh continues to produce new music every day and signing new artists worldwide for the purpose of building his arsenal of phat beats and basslines so that when you see a DJ Phroh show… you are hearing dope, brand new, unreleased music that no other DJ is playing right now. Dubplates, originals, specials, bootlegs… whatever you wanna call them. Phroh’s got plenty! DJ Phroh - Dont Stand In My Way by djphroh

Free Flow Show/Hide Bio
Who is Freeflow? For anyone who’s seen the band perform, the answer is simple: they’re an energetic band that brings people out of their seats with a compelling combination of songs with great hooks and great vocal harmonies. A much greater challenge, however, is describing Freeflow’s sound, which features everything from hip-hop and funk to reggae and rock. They have often been compared to bands like The Roots, Sublime and the Red Hot Chili Peppers, yet have nurtured a sound distinctively their own. Since founding members Jason Evans (vocals), Reece Worth (guitar), Wilson Padmos (keys), Ryan Davis (drums), and Simon Davies (bass) came together in 2001, the band’s music has evolved – something that is more than obvious to anyone who has seen the band live or listened to Freeflow’s two well-received CDs.

Black Hat Villain Show/Hide Bio
Catalyzed by a cocktail of American powerhouse alternative, Trans-Atlantic hard rock and deep, dirty groove, Black Hat Villain has done the impossible and captured lightning in a bottle. Summoning the authenticity and unapologetic honesty of vintage rock and roll, the five fingers of BHV curl into a fist that packs one unforgettable punch: The freight train ferocity of Tim Sweeting on drums and Ian Chisholm on bass, the double-barrel guitar onslaught of Abe Cox and Sam Edmundson, the snarling, soaring vocals of the cane-wielding Scotty Tuesday. This is the anatomy of a hard rock colossus. It’s the trademark conviction and raw intensity of the Villain’s live show that has put them on the map -- a dangerous alchemy of dirty, driving soul and melodic mayhem in a world starved for uncompromising, unadulterated rock and roll.
